Kai Sallas Pro Surf School Hawaii
PRO SURF SCHOOL HAWAII is owned and operated by professional surfer, Kai Sallas.
In 2009, Kai completed the contest season as the Hawaiian and North American longboard champion as well as the No. 2 ranked longboard surfer in the world on the ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) WLT (World Longboard Tour). He is also the defending two-time PLA (Professional Longboard Association) champion. In 2011 he ranked No.2 longboard sufer in the world again.
Aside from being one of the best surfers in the world, Kai also has a long history of sharing his love of surfing with others. He’s been teaching friends, family, acquaintances and customers to ride waves since he was 12 years old.
Growing up in Waikiki, Kai was taught how to surf at a young age on the rolling waves in the area by his father, who was one of the original Waikiki Beach Boys. His father has been teaching surfing for over 35 years, and that’s where Kai gained his propensity for teaching his lifelong passion. Although Kai learned and continues to surf in Waikiki, he feels that nowadays the lineups have become too crowded, and in turn, too dangerous for beginner surfers.
That is why with PRO SURF SCHOOL HAWAII, all of our lessons are taught outside of Waikiki, away from the dangerous crowds, at a secluded surf spot, in beginner-friendly slow rolling waves.
We offer surf Lessons, stand up paddle lessons, bodyboard lessons and surf tours to surfers of all ages and skill levels.
Whether you are a first time surfer ready to catch your first wave or an experienced surfer looking to improve your skills, PRO SURF SCHOOL HAWAII offers a fun, safe and rewarding learning experience for everyone.
